London Games Festival is an annual extravaganza, endorsed by the Mayor of London and Playstation, that brings together the very best of gaming from around the globe. In 2020, we teamed up with event agency NJ Live to create a standalone site that would curate the top 40 titles in a playful platform. This year’s collaboration marks the third consecutive year we’ve joined forces, and for this edition, LGF took the festival to new heights by blending the digital realm with in-person events, offering a truly hybrid experience.

The heart of London Games Festival lies in our immersive UX/UI design approach, where we transform each gaming title into a small world of its own. Drawing inspiration from the in-game artwork and audio, coupled with the magic of parallax effects, we curate dedicated areas on the site for every game. Each unique title is a standalone digital wonderland, where users are invited to explore, discover, and delve into the heart of the gaming universe.

As we celebrate the gaming world’s cutting-edge technology, we pay homage to its humble beginnings with a design inspired by classic 8-bit games. Our identity echoes the sense of fun and nostalgia tied to these early gaming experiences. While pushing the boundaries of what gaming can achieve today, we fondly recall the origin story of these beloved games. London Games Festival is a bridge between the past and the future, where the pixelated charm of 8-bit art meets the immersive worlds of modern gaming.
